A post doc researcher will map the normative framework that regulates domestic prosecution of international crimes, such as Universal Jurisdiction treaties, customary international law, ICC complementarity and policy goals such as ‘no safe haven’, ‘end to impunity’. Through empirical research the researcher will discuss with domestic prosecutors to what extent they feel they have discretion to not prosecute.
